What can I say? OMG is the only thing that comes to mind!
Rhonda brought home the latest copy of Good Housekeeping Magazine. Valerie Bertinelli is on the April cover. Well my mouth dropped.
As most of you know, she is a spokesperson for Jenny Craig and not only lost weight, but has kept it off. Not only is she a great representitive for Jenny Craig, but she is also a fantastic role model for all baby boomers. She just has the right stuff.
For those not familiar with Valerie Bertinelliand her connection with health and fitness issues, the following is a brief excerpt from Wikipedia;
“Bertinelli, who had struggled with weight issues over the years, has lost a total of 50 lb (23 kg) as of March 2009, and had become a spokesperson for the Jenny Craig weight-loss program.She appeared in several Jenny Craig commercials along with Kirstie Alley and other celebrity Jenny Craig participants.
Celebrities who promote such things as weight-loss programs are often perceived to be in professional decline. However, although Bertinelli is compensated for her Jenny Craig appearances, she has stated that she considers herself a health and weight-loss activist rather than a hired weight-loss spokesperson, and that she continues to receive proposals for more conventional acting work. In 2008 she released the autobiography, Losing It: And Gaining My Life Back One Pound At A Time, which culminates in a description of her Jenny Craigexperience (the book’s title contains a wordplay on One Day at a Time). In 2009, she wrote a follow-up book Finding It: And Satisfying My Hunger for Life without Opening the Fridge.”
Watch the video. You cannot help but be impressed and motivated. See for yourself why women over 50 are sexy.

She’s big and brash, even a bit goofy sometimes, but I like her openness and straight talk. Sure shes’s trying to make a come back with her show The Big Life? And sure, she may be plugging her diet loss program, but then which show doesn’t plug something or try to make money. So what do you think of her new show? Have you seen it?
